The This I Believe speech was my favorite LA101H assignment. I felt that out of everything assigned to us, this was the speech where we got to tell the listeners the most about ourselves. When I gave this speech, I originally included a part about how my boyfriend at the time had dumped me while I was in the hospital. I decided to take that part out when I revised it. The information supported the point that I was having a rough time, but it was so outrageous that I think it distracted from my central argument.
